Tay River Builders is a family-owned company located in Princeton New Jersey. We provide our clients with all types of residential construction services. We also provide design services for larger jobs and handyman services for smaller jobs. In the rare instances when we can’t provide a service, we will refer you to someone who can. One of our objectives is to provide everything you need to improve, repair or maintain your home. Jesse and Abel Smith, Tay River’s owners, have a passion for building. Jesse began working in construction in 1991, and served a four-year carpentry apprenticeship from 1994-1998 . Abel began his construction career in 1989 installing cabinets and renovating historic buildings. He has diplomas in both Architectural Technology and Heritage Carpentry and Restoration. In 1999 Jesse and Abel founded Tay River Builders, and have been working in Princeton ever since.
